offices, enforce their IP rights and defend them against challenges of third parties.
Trademarks
- Identity and availability searches for trademarks and service marks, especially on-line through computerized databases,
evaluation of availability searches
- Advising on the registrability of trademarks, availability of trademarks, and protection strategy in trademark matters
- Filing trademark applications and prosecution of examination
proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the World
International Property Office (WIPO) in Geneva, the Office for the
Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) as well as worldwide
throughout our network of selected foreign colleagues
- Representation in opposition proceedings
- Monitoring the renewal terms and other legal terms, payment of
renewal fees
- Trademark Collision watch and advising on the chances of success in
opposition proceedings
- Assistance in the preparation and drafting of contracts (pre-right
declarations, licence agreements etc)
- Assistance in enforcing trademark rights and in litigation
proceedings (if necessary in cooperation with specialized attorneys for
litigation before the courts)
